Past Experience

SGS College, L3 Extended Diploma in Photography - FMP Show

In my final year we had to produce a proposal each for our final major projects. After our hand in the whole art department, including students from every course, all tutors, teaching assistants and some friends put together an exhibition. This meant emptying every classroom upstairs and down, cleaning the classrooms, filling any holes and sanding the walls. Once this was done, we set up standing displays and used joining tape to make the seems flush. After all of this was completed we painted the entire art department with white paint. That fortnight each part of the department got their work ready to hang or display. Myself and one other photographer helped to take head shots of all the students in the art department to hang next to their work, whilst some other students helped out to make shelves, business card holders and put artist statements on foam board. Once this was completed everyone started to hang and display their work, helping each other out. Once all the work was either displayed or hung, there was a ticket only event for two weeks to show off all students achievements from throughout the year. The work that was on the hallway walls then stayed there all year, alongside each students business cards and profile.
