Final Plan

Idea One, Walk Two

From my initial ideas I have decided to go with idea one, walk two but slightly reimagined.

I have decided to walk my favourite walk in my hometown Wotton-Under-Edge, which I usually walk with my two Labradors. Instead of walking chunks of separate walks I have chosen to just go for one full walk as its not too long. only about 30 minutes.

Growing up I was always told by my family that I had an eye for detail. They used to give me the disposable cameras and I would always take pictures of the most odd things, so much so it was hard to tell what the images were of. Through this module I intend to practice those skills and look at my photography in detail.

Looking at perspectives gives me the chance to seek out my eye for detail and see how I can piece together a narrative through detail and angles. I want to walk the route repeatedly to see how the detail can build a series. I want to show my route as is but from a different viewpoint.

  1. Is it practical? - Yes as it is COVID safe.
  2. Do I know enough about the subject? - Yes as I have done a similar project before, but need to expand using new skills.
  3. Is this interesting to others? - I think so yes because of the angles/perspectives the images are taken. They aren't just every day images of the landscape.
  4. Is it visual? - Yes, it will have different colours, angles and objects.
  5. Why landscape? Because it is slightly out of my comfort zone and i want to push myself to see what I can produce.
